Ella's Second Home is a childcare facility where your children feel safe, comfortable, well cared for and very happy.
Located at 1354 10th Ave San Francisco, CA 94122, we offer full service childcare that you can rely on. Services are rendered by licensed childcare professionals and friendly staff who are compassionate in caring for all the needs of children under our care.
Monday - Thursday 8AM - 5:30PM
Friday 8AM - 5:15PM
Full-time care is based on a fixed price per week. This price does not change on weeks that include holidays, or when the child is absent due to illness. We charge a late fee of $5.00 per 5 minutes past our regular closing hours.
Special arrangements can be made to accomodate families who need regular childcare outside of our regular hours. An adjusted fee will be negotiated in these cases.

Mission Statement
At Ella’s Second Home daycare, we believe childcare is an important extension of a child’s family. By responding to the needs of children, we help them develop skills physically, cognitively and emotionally to persevere in any environment. Our program provides families with the luxury of flexible hours where children play in multiage level groups in a structured yet child centered setting to help children develop a sense of self in a supporting and nurturing environment.
Admission & Withdrawal
All children are admitted with a one-month trial period. This trial period is to ensure that the child and the the daycare are a good fit for each other. After this trial period we will ask you to sign our parent agreement.
We ask that you provide at least two month’s notice when your child will be withdrawn from the program.
After one month of trial period parent’s are signing one year or more contract to attend Ella’s Second Home.

Health & Safety
All children must have their immunizations within 3 days after placement in our facility. Parents must provide the facility with a copy of the child’s immunization record.
Sick children may not attend daycare. If your child has a fever of over 100 F or is experiencing vomitting, diarrhea or pink-eye they cannot be accepted into the program. Your child must be free of these symptoms for 24 hours before they can be re-admitted. If your child becomes ill during care, you will be asked to pick up your child immediately. If you can’t be reached, we will call one of the emergency numbers that you have provided.
We will administer medication to your child only if there is a signed permission form from a licensed physician.

What to Bring

As the children will nap in their clothes, the clothes chosen should be comfortable. We prefer two-piece outfits, without too many snaps. Infant bodysuits with the standard three snaps at the bottom are fine.
*Jewlery is NOT ALLOWED for it poses a danger for the children around*
